Default The NFL

So I am watching KC vs. Dallas and Cassel connects with Bowe to tie it up in the final minute of the game. Shortly after they go to commercial saying "Due to NFL regulation we can't show you the rest of the game."

What the hell? Seriously why the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO would they turn off a game that has the potential to be great.

I dont get their bs.

In the US, you'll have games blacked out if on the other channel (or the same one) a home team who has sold out their game starts playing... even if the home team sucks, that's the only one that'll be shown on TV.

I've been dealing with this kind of BS for years as a Miami fan living in Tampa Bay. Every time the bucs have a sold out home game I have to write off seeing the phins that week. Two years ago I couldn't even see a pat-colts game (pats ended up 18-1) because of the NFL's stupid rules.

This was the upside of moving back to Rhode Island. I now live where Pats games are the local show.

Yeah, it blows. But, all sports have blackout restrictions. Even if you purchase a "Season Ticket" type thing from a cable company (in the case of the NFL, the NFL Sunday Ticket from DirecTV), and pay hundreds of dollars for it, you're still going to get those annoying blackout restrictions.
